Our Home. Your Home

Commissioned as part of the KCC Care Agenda Programme, Banner House offers a bespoke model of support for individuals who are taking the next step toward independent community living.

At Banner House, we provide high-quality, person-centred care for people with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum conditions. Our service is delivered within an Active Support framework, encouraging participation, personal growth, and a greater sense of independence in everyday life.

Our approach is guided by the principles of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) — a proactive and preventative model that helps manage behaviours that challenge, reduces the likelihood of crisis situations, and promotes safety and stability for all.

Each person supported at Banner House has a tailored Behaviour Support Plan, which directs our team in using the least restrictive, most respectful strategies possible. This ensures care that prioritises dignity, empowerment, and wellbeing at every stage.

Banner House is built on the core values of Active Support, Co-production, Personalisation, and Reflective Practice. These principles shape everything we do — helping individuals with complex needs to build confidence, develop new skills, and thrive as active members of their community.

We don’t just provide support, we help people build a life.

Learn about us
What is a Supported Accommodation?
A safe place to grow, learn, and prepare for independent living.

Our Supported accommodation provides young people aged 16–17 with a safe, nurturing environment where they can build essential life skills, gain confidence, and prepare for adulthood. It bridges the gap between care and independent living — offering the right balance of support, structure, and personal responsibility.

At Banner House Support Services, our supported accommodation homes are staffed by trained professionals who provide 24/7 guidance, emotional support, and practical help. Young people are encouraged to make choices, manage their daily routines, and develop the skills they need to live independently in the future.

What is Domiciliary Care (Homecare)?
Care that comes to you — compassionate, personal, and professional.

Domiciliary care, also known as homecare, is support provided to individuals in their own homes to help them live safely, independently, and with dignity. It’s ideal for people who need assistance with day-to-day activities but wish to remain in familiar surroundings rather than move into residential care.

At Banner House Support Services, we deliver high-quality, compassionate homecare tailored to each person’s unique needs, preferences, and routines. Our trained staff offer flexible support — from a few hours a week to daily visits — ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being at every stage.

What is Supported Living?
Empowering adults to live independently with confidence and dignity.

Supported living is a service designed to help adults aged 18–65+ with learning disabilities live as independently as possible — while receiving the support they need to thrive.

At Banner House Support Services we provide flexible, person-centred supported living arrangements that allow individuals to live in their own homes or shared accommodation while receiving tailored support from our dedicated team. We focus on enabling people to make choices, develop life skills, and take control of their daily lives in a safe and supportive environment.

What is a Personal Care?
Supporting your comfort, dignity, and independence — every day.

Personal care is the practical support we provide to help individuals manage their daily routines while maintaining dignity, comfort, and independence. It includes assistance with washing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, and other essential self-care activities.

At Banner House Support Services, we understand that everyone’s needs are different. Our trained and compassionate staff deliver personal care with sensitivity and respect, always involving the individual in decisions about how their support is provided. We focus on promoting independence, encouraging people to do as much as they can for themselves while offering the right level of help when needed.

Our approach ensures that personal care is not just about meeting physical needs — it’s about building confidence, protecting dignity, and improving overall well-being.
